How Do I Set-up The SMS-iT CRM Simcard Gateway App?
Setting Up Your SMS-iT CRM Simcard Gateway App:
NOTE: Please make sure to add your country code to your phone number at the profile section of the SMS-iT platform, especially if you are using the same number as your Simcard number in the app, or it will not work.

Step 1: Login to your SMS-iT CRM account, click on SMS Gateways & SMPP, and click Simcard. Then scan the first QR code. Allow all necessary permissions.

Step 2: Scan the second QR code and allow the required permissions.

Step 3: Check if your phone number appears at the dashboard or in the "Active Number" section. To check in the "Active Number" section, click on the profile in the top left corner dropdown menu. Under your profile, you'll find the "Active Numbers" on the left-hand side.
If your number does not appear at either the dashboard or active number section, logout from your Android APP, and log back in manually with your user name and password, then check the platform dashboard or Active Number section again for your number.
If your number still does not show, then click on Add Number at the Active Number section, and add your number manually, while choosing Simcard as your option.

Step 4: Start the service on the SMS-iT app, by clicking on the blue button at the bottom right section on your phone.

Step 5: Run a test within the SMS-iT app to ensure everything is working fine.


Troubleshooting APK Update Issues:

If your SMS stops sending after an APK update, follow these steps:
Step 1: Delete the SMS-iT app from your phone.

Step 2: Go to your profile, then the "Active Number" section. Click on the trash can icon to delete your SIM card.

Step 3: Click on "SMS Gateway" and select "SMPP Connection."

Step 4: Download the Simcard Gateway APP again, by Scaning the first QR code and allow all permissions.

Step 5: Next, login to the Simcard Gateway APP, by Scaning the second QR code or manually loggin in with your credentials. Then allow all necessary permissions.

Step 6: Start the service on the app.

Step 7: Run tests to check if the issue is resolved.


NOTE: If you dont add your country code to your phone number, and use the same phone number as your simcard number, it will not work.

Do I need to have an active account with Twilio, Bandwidth, Telnyx, Ytel, Plivo, Signal Wire, or Vonage to use your CRM?
While you can certainly utilize your SIM card to access the full functionalities of the SMS-iT CRM, an alternative option is to acquire a number directly from us. Doing so not only provides you with Cloud Credits to use the CRM without requiring your own SIM card or Gateways but also includes a FREE US/Canadian number upon subscribing to any of our monthly plans. This number comes with Cloud credits for sending messages, making calls, and accessing the CRM's full functionalities. Additionally, you have the flexibility to purchase additional numbers and credits as needed.

If you prefer to use your own SMS Gateways, you'll need an active subscription with one of our specified gateway providers. Furthermore, you must complete your A2P registration directly with the chosen gateway provider. Whether utilizing our Free US number or purchasing additional numbers from us without employing your own SMS Gateway, you're required to complete A2P 10DLC registration for local numbers and A2P registration for Toll-Free numbers.

Can I use my iPhone and connect my Sim Card with your CRM?
Unfortunately, not at the moment. Presently, our Simcard Gateway APP is solely available for side downloading on Android devices. However, we have plans to launch our SMS-iT CRM Mobile App soon, which will be accessible on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Once this is released, you'll have the capability to utilize the iPhone simcard with SMS-iT CRM.
Is it possible to use an e-sim with your platform?

Currently, our platform necessitates the use of a physical SIM card installed in an Android phone. The phone should either be on a monthly plan or have pre-paid credit. However, we do have plans to integrate e-SIM functionality into our platform.

Does my phone need to remain powered on for the SIM card integration with your CRM platform to work properly?

Certainly. For optimal operation of the SIM card integration with our CRM platform, your phone must be powered on. Additionally, a robust signal and stable connection are crucial for seamless integration. It's worth mentioning that the phone can be positioned anywhere, provided it meets the signal and connectivity criteria.

Can your CRM facilitate the sending of both individual and bulk SMS, email, fax, voice broadcast, and ringless voicemails?
Yes, our CRM enables you to send individual and bulk SMS, email, fax, voice broadcast, and ringless voicemails. You have the flexibility to customize timing settings according to your preferences. If you're utilizing your SIM Card for sending, we recommend a conservative approach by limiting the sending rate to 1 message every 60 seconds. Additionally, utilizing spintax is advised. It's important not to exceed 500 to 1,000 SMS per day when using your SIM Card for sending. Alternatively, you can also leverage any of our gateway providers and seamlessly connect your account for efficient single and bulk SMS, email, fax, voice broadcast, and ringless voicemail sending.
My Sim Card won’t send out messages, I think it’s blocked. How do I fix this?
  • A) Sim Card Clogs: When you increase our default sending speed (10-60 seconds) to send messages faster, you'll encounter sim card clogs 100% of the time. This occurs when messages are sent but delivered later because multiple messages are queued in the carrier's network awaiting transmission. This also negatively impacts your sim card's reputation.
  • B) Personalization: If you neglect to utilize our personalization or spintax (spinner) for your messages and your carrier detects spam, your sim card may be flagged. In such cases, you MUST WAIT a minimum of 3 days before resuming message sending, as most carriers will block your messages.
  • C) If you're sending messages containing links that have been blacklisted by carriers, you can resolve this issue by using a URL shortener.
How does your STR or credit system work?
STR or credits are utilized for text message segments and calls. Each social and text message segment you send and receive (approximately 160 characters) consumes 1 credit. Likewise, every 60 seconds spent on the phone consumes 1 credit. With our Lifetime Deals (LTDs), we allocate a specific number of credits for you to utilize each month. Our monthly paid plans, on the other hand, provide unlimited credits. However, it's important to clarify that this doesn't cover the cost of your texts or calls. You would still be responsible for paying for your usage through your chosen provider (Twilio, Bandwidth, SIM card, etc.). Once you've utilized your monthly allotment of credits, you won't be able to send texts or make additional calls unless you purchase more credits or upgrade to an unlimited subscription plan.
What's the rationale behind using both our own SIM credits and your platform's credits? Is this akin to double-metering, and what implications does it have for our usage?

Utilizing both our platform's credits and your own SIM credits is necessitated by the infrastructure costs linked with processing messages and calls within our platform. Although it may appear to be double-metering, it's crucial to recognize that our platform incurs expenses for furnishing the essential processing infrastructure. By leveraging both types of credits, we ensure smooth communication while addressing the expenses associated with maintaining and managing the platform effectively.

In addition to using credits or STR to send messages from the platform, your simcard credits or SMS Gateway or SMPP credits are utilized to relay and deliver the messages to your recipients. Your SMS gateways handle the reception of messages or calls from your recipients, whereas STR or credits within SMS-iT are employed to deliver them into the SMS-iT platform.

Is it necessary for me to possess my own API key for integration with ChatGPT, Genesis, Clause, or Llama?

Certainly. You'll be required to obtain your own API key for integrating ChatGPT, Genesis, Clause, or Llama. You'll connect this API key to our system and directly handle payment to your chosen AI provider for any associated usage costs.

Can I have an unlimited number of SIM card and gateway slots in the SMS-iT CRM?

Do you adhere to TCPA compliance and legal standards?

Can your CRM be used for cold SMS marketing purposes?

Using our CRM for cold SMS marketing is prohibited, especially in the USA where it is illegal and can incur substantial fines, up to $1,500 USD per illegal cold SMS sent. For countries outside the USA, we strongly recommend verifying and adhering to local laws governing SMS activities to ensure compliance. It's crucial to send SMS marketing messages only to customers who have given consent and opted-in to receive them.

Is there a risk that the phone carrier will detect and suspend my number?

Is it necessary for me to register A2P with your platform?

To utilize A2P (Application-to-Person) messaging, registration with your selected gateway provider (such as Telnyx, Ytel, Plivo, Signal Wire, Bandwidth, Vonage, or Twilio) is required. This registration procedure is conducted directly on the provider's website. It's worth noting that Signal Wire often approves A2P registrations swiftly, usually within 2 to 3 business days. If you're using your SIM card, it comes pre-registered with 10DLC, eliminating the necessity for a separate A2P registration process.
